Neiman Marcus is a luxury specialty retail department store, operated by the Neiman Marcus Group in the United States. The company is headquartered in Dallas, Texas, and competes with other exclusive department stores such as Barneys New York, Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom, Lord & Taylor, and Bloomingdale's. The Neiman Marcus Group also operates the exclusive Bergdorf Goodman specialty retail department stores on Fifth Avenue in New York City and a direct marketing division, Neiman Marcus Direct, which operates catalogue and online operations under the Horchow, Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman names.

Unlike many of its department-store contemporaries, Neiman Marcus is still in operation today under the original name and is still headquartered in the city where it began. The Neiman Marcus Group comprises the Specialty Retail stores division — which includes Neiman Marcus Stores and Bergdorf Goodman — Cusp (a contemporary boutique format) and the Direct Marketing division, Neiman Marcus Direct. These retailers offer upscale assortments of apparel, accessories, jewelry, beauty and decorative home products.

Sizing varies greatly between designers. If you are familiar with a designer, please order the size you normally do. If not, please match your measurements (in inches) to the size guides below.

Measuring Instructions

To find out what size belt you wear, simply follow these guidelines:

1. First, decide whether you will be wearing the belt at your waist or on your hips (lower rise). This will affect the fit of the belt.

2. For waist belts, measure around your natural waistline (just at the belly button). This is usually the smallest part of your torso.

3. For hip belts, measure around the fuller part of your hips (not the fullest), where your low-rise jeans would fall. Note: Hip belts are carried in larger sizes so they can be worn on the hips.

4. The measurement that you get is your belt size (in inches or centimeters). Note: See our size guide above for inch and centimeter equivalencies.

5. The size of a belt indicates the measurement from the buckle prong (or other method of closure) to the middle hole of the belt.

MEASURE UP: Measuring Instructions for Women

Before beginning, read the guidelines below and then compare your measurements to the charts above. For the best fit, wear little or no clothing while measuring, and use a fabric tape measure.

Bust: Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your bust, then drop your arms to your sides to measure.

Waist: Measure around your natural waistline, keeping the tape comfortably loose.

Hips: Stand with your heels together, and measure around the fullest part of your hips.
